Failure to collect personal information from our customers would mean that we could not supply, install or support our products.

Information on customers is almost always obtained direct from the customer. There are times however when we may seek information from a third party, such as when an application for credit needs to be approved. If information is obtained from a third party it is never passed on to anyone else and is only used for the purpose for which it was obtained.


USE AND DISCLOSURE

Personal customer data is used to ensure that we are able to supply, install and support our products. From time to time we may also advise customers of special offers on our products.

Information will never be passed to any third party without the knowledge and prior written consent of the customer.

We will make every reasonable attempt to ensure that the data we obtain from customers is kept up to date, accurate and complete. If customers become aware that their data is incomplete or inaccurate they should notify us immediately and we will take corrective action.

Data obtained from customers will be stored electronically on our computer systems. The computer systems are protected by strong hardware and software security in line with recommendations from experts in this area.

This security ensures that only those people who need the information to carry out their normal duties will have authorised access. Once the information is no longer required for our business purposes we will destroy the information in such a manner that it is not recoverable.


OPENNESS

One aim of this privacy policy is to ensure that our customers understand our personal information handling procedures.

In addition, upon receipt of a properly authorised written request from a customer, we may make available to that person, details of the type of information we hold in relation to them. There may be a charge for this service.

If the customer indicates that there are any inaccuracies in their personal data we will take reasonable steps to correct such inaccuracies.


IDENTIFIERS

Under no circumstances will we ever use, as our own identifiers, such things as Tax File Numbers and other identifiers assigned by Commonwealth agencies or service providers.


ANONYMITY

Individuals may have the right to anonymity where it is lawful and practicable, but generally, customers need to be identified for supply and warranty purposes.


TRANSBORDER DATA FLOWS

We will not disclose any personal customer information to people in a foreign country unless the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract between the customer and our company.


SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Sensitive information includes such things as bank-account details, tax-file numbers, salary details and the like.

We will not collect sensitive information from you unless you consent, or the law requires it.
